We have now been informed by Lambeth Council that until such time as their lease of the playing fields has been legally and formerly terminated they, Lambeth Council, will manage the site accordingly which includes marking out the pitches and mowing the grass. This is reassuring for the time being but discussions between the users of the site continue with a view to forming a Community Interest Company to take on the lease with the agreement of the landlords, Dulwich Estates. Latest news on Rosendale Playing Fields closure.

Discussions between all the current users about the future of Rosendale Playing Fields have begun following the announcement by Lambeth Council that it will not be renewing the lease of the site from Dulwich Estates when it expires in June 2026.

Notwithstanding, we expect that our continued use of the site for 9v9 football will not be affected come September. Girls 7v7 football should continue as normal at Dulwich Sports Ground and the Griffin.

L&SPSF will continue to liaise with other site users and hope to come to some arrangement which will allow us to keep playing football at the playing fields indefinitely.
